At first I couldn’t think of anything to draw for this topic. But than it occurred to me how this word ‘pessimism’ relates to human nature in general. The temptation to assume the worst or be overcome with anxiety that “It just couldn’t work out, no – something will go wrong!”Β or “They’ll hate me, they think I’m weird!” Β A very unhealthy habit of always looking for what ‘may’ happen or how someone ‘might’ react. This has to be one of the unhealthiest tendency of humans, but one of the best things we couldΒ overcome. Faith and an optimistic attitude does wonders for the heart, mind, and overall well-being. It’s something I am working very hard to develop as I all too often catch myself worrying over things I have no control over – or haven’t even happened yet. We have more control than we give ourselves credit for, for how someone perceives us or feels around us. We can either make them feel uptight because we’re uptight & pessimistic, or feel comfortable because we’re confident and optimistic. Anyways, there was a lot more to this topic than I had first thought – so I thought that since this word describes how we ‘see’ the world, I’d draw a worried eye. πŸ™‚ How do you perceive the word ‘pessimism’?
