“There is only one place where we can go and find consistency, and that is where Joseph went: to the Lord, for βhe is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.β And the most important fact is that there is no place you can go where he is not. In the words of the psalmist,
βWhither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
βIf I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
βIf I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
βEven there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
βIf I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
βYea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.β (Ps. 139:7β12.)
Whether walking on the moon, or probing the immensity and vastness of space, or in the depths of the sea, or in darkest Africa, or in Salt Lake City, he is there.
Oh, if we could only learn this lesson and look to his living prophet on earth! In this day and time, following the living prophet is the only way that we can follow the Lord God and do his will.” — Hartman Rector Jr. [‘Live Above the Law to Be Free‘]
As I mentioned yesterday, Iβm going to add toΒ this 365 challenge by reducing the amount of time I give myself for each daily sketch. I received some good advice that daily practice sketches like this should have a time limit, so I can learn how to do even more in a shorter period of time. So Iβm going to give that a try for now.
