Catch You When You Fall

I do most of my paintings for others, in this case I decided to paint something for myself. I have been missing my brother a great deal this Holiday season. He passed away earlier this year in January. I’ve had a few people pass away in my life before, but no one as close to or as dear to me as he was.

In February, I placed his ashes in the Ocean at private beach tucked away in one of my favorite locations. He and I had a favorite picture of the two of us. The image came to mind of what I’d like to see / or imagine how he’d appear if he were to really be at that beach when I visit ‘him’ there. This is what I came up with:

Here is a song I recently came across that brings him to mind whenever I listen to it. It was one of the songs I listened to as I painted this:

Father & Daughter

My Father’s birthday is coming up next month. I thought this painting would take me longer, but I just finished last night. This is of me & my Daddy :)

He’s going to be 72! Woah! Time goes by fast, doesn’t it?

Violette

A friend of mine that always makes me smile. She enjoys putting fun colors in her hair from green, to blue to pink! I always look forward to what color she has next in her hair! :) Violette, you’re so beautiful! Thanks for the smile! Enjoy this painting, for you! :)

Witches Moon Eyes

Halloween was so fun for me as a child. Of course, it was because of all the candy – and the opportunity to dress up! Staying up late was so cool, and seeing everyone’s costumes was really fun. I love fall time, it is so magical. I love the colors and the smells. The wet air, cool breeze and the smell of baking treats!!! :) I am so excited for this fall year! Something great is going to happen – I can feel it! :)
