Inspired by a picture I came across of my friend’s little girl. I couldn’t resist, my mind was spinning with ideas of what a painting of that scene could look like. :)

Quote to go along with the illustration of this painting:

“. . . Remember that you are spirit daughters of the most creative Being in the universe. Isn’t it remarkable to think that your very spirits are fashioned by an endlessly creative and eternally compassionate God? Think about it—your spirit body is a masterpiece, created with a beauty, function, and capacity beyond imagination.

“But to what end were we created? We were created with the express purpose and potential of experiencing a fulness of joy (see 2 Nephi 2:25). Our birthright—and the purpose of our great voyage on this earth—is to seek and experience eternal happiness. One of the ways we find this is by creating things.”

Everybody Needs A Friend

I was debating whether or not to include this in my ‘Eve Series‘, as it began with the intention of showing the beauty of  compassion that women instinctively have… but once I completed the painting… looked at it for awhile, it kind of stood on its own. Let me know what you think!

“Relief Society stands for love. What a remarkable thing it is to witness the love of good women one for another. They mingle together in the bonds of love with friendship and respect for each other. This organization is actually the only resource that many women have for friendly association.

“It is the natural instinct of women to reach out in love to those in distress and need.”

- Gordon B. Hinckley

Lead By Example

For Christmas I painted my nephews & soon to be niece for my sister & brother in-law. These kids are so adorable. The oldest was just a chubby little baby when I first met Clark. It’s awesome to see him grow up, and lead the pack of his siblings. He’s a great example to them.

Focused on Christ

President Monson said,“Christmas is what we make of it. Despite all the distractions, we can see to it that Christ is at the center of our celebration. If we have not already done so, we can establish Christmas traditions for ourselves and for our families which will help us capture and keep the spirit of Christ.”
